🐬✨ A Magical Day at Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa – Dolphin Show & Starry Wonders!

Hi everyone,
Welcome back to my blog! 🌟

Today, I'm excited to share a beautiful memory from our Japan trip — our visit to the Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa (also called Maxell Naked Star Aquarium) in Minato City, Tokyo. If you're looking for a dazzling indoor aquarium experience with lights, music, and amazing marine life, this is the place to be!

πŸ“ Location:

Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa
Minato City, Tokyo (near Shinagawa Station)

πŸ—“️ Our Visit:

We went in November 2019, as a family trip — me, my husband, and our 5-year-old. We reached the aquarium around 10 AM, and from the moment we arrived, it was like stepping into a dreamland.

🌠 First Impressions:

The entrance itself was illuminated with lights and music. It was truly magical — a blend of aquatic displays and fantasy vibes that instantly made us excited.

🧜‍♀️ First Floor: 4 Magical Zones

  1. Magical Ground
The first attraction we encountered was the Dolphin Party Ride, which costs 500 yen per person. A fun and interactive experience, especially for kids!

  2. Touch Panel Aquarium
This is the world’s first touch panel aquarium — a digital, interactive way to explore aquatic life. Very unique and modern!

  3. Cafe Bar
A cozy spot to grab coffee and snacks, and take a relaxing break between exhibits.

  4. Jellyfish Ramble
One of my favorite areas! Beautiful jellyfish displayed with colorful lights and calming sounds — it felt like walking through an underwater dream.

🌊 Second Floor: 7 Themed Areas

Each zone on the second floor has its own theme, lighting, and sound — making the walk feel like a journey through different aquatic worlds:

  • Little Paradise

  • Living Museum

  • Wonder Tube

  • Aqua Jungle

  • Wild Street

  • Friendly Square

  • The Stadium – where the main dolphin show happens!

In the Living Museum, we were mesmerized by the variety of fish in cylindrical tubes. Perfect for photography and learning.

🐬 Highlight: The Dolphin Show!

The main highlight of the aquarium is, of course, the Dolphin Show. 🐬
Held at the stadium, this show combines dolphin performances with music, colorful lighting, and projection mapping. The show has day and night versions, and both are spectacular in their own ways.

We also got to see other animals like penguins, and there were short fun shows for them too!

🌌 Special Theme: Star Illumination

During our visit, the aquarium was featuring the "Star Illumination x Projection Mapping" theme. This collaboration created a truly mesmerizing atmosphere — like being in a galaxy underwater. 🌠

🧳 Final Thoughts:

This was an unforgettable experience for our family. The combination of marine life, entertainment, lights, and interactive zones makes Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa a must-visit attraction in Tokyo — especially for families with kids.

If you're ever in Japan, don’t miss the chance to experience a live dolphin show — it's something you'll remember for a lifetime!

πŸ“Έ Stay tuned — I’ll be sharing photos and videos from our trip in the next post!
